Peter of the good Karma

Here on a family holiday from Littleton, Co. Tipperary, Ireland  I attended a gardening course at Randwick Community Centre on Monday last. On leaving the centre around midday I had intended walking back to Judge Street where  I am residing with my daughter Joana and son-in-law Conor. A large gardeners truck was parked at Bundock Street and I made enquiries with the owner who was finishing his lunch as to the shortest route to Judge Street. Having heard my accent and commented that he would willingly do a favour for an Irishman he offered to drive me home.On the way he told me his name was Peter and that he believed in the good Karma. On enquiring what he meant he said that he believed that if you do a good deed for someone that somebody else will do a good deed for you.I understand he lives on the north side of Sydney.Fortunately I picked up your Act of Kindness card at your Council Offices where I was vety well attended by your secretary. I have noted in many shops where   you are greeted and asked "How's your day"-these three words can mean so much ,especially to someone finding their way around..Finally, thankyou Peter and the Council for this opportunity to build community spirit and wellbeing. Sincerely, Matt Purcell
