The kindness of kids

We were out to dinner one night with the family at The Spot, and my 7 year old son was given $10 from his uncle to buy whatever he wanted.  As we left the restuarant we passed a man sitting near the bus stop who looked a little down on his luck.  My son stopped, looked at the $10 note in his hand, then turned back and without telling us what he was up to, offered the stranger his $10.  The stranger smiled and politely declined, but we couild see he was clearly touched by the gesture - as were we!  When we asked our son what made him do that he simply replied "He looked like he needed it more than me".
