Council adopted the Operational Plan and Budget at its meeting of 23 June 2015.

2015-16 draft Operational Plan, draft Budget and draft Schedule of Fees and Charges

Each year, Randwick City Council prepares a budget and works program to go on public exhibition for community comment in May. Council would love to hear about what you think we are currently doing right and anything we could do to improve your local area in the future.

Highlights for the draft 2015-16 works program include:
  • A record $10.4 million on roads, footpaths, ramps and kerb and guttering upgrades
  • $1.3M for environmental programs such as stormwater harvesting projects, native tree planting, garden bed upgrades and cycle paths in recognition of the Randwick City’s natural environment and outdoor lifestyle
  • $5.9 million will be invested for further open space upgrades and developments including synthetic soccer pitches and a multi-use recreation centre at Heffron Park
  • $5.4 million as part of Randwick City Council’s commitment to the Light Rail Support plan.
  • $115,000 for new BBQs and lighting along the Maroubra Beach promenade
  • $385,000 on stage one historical restoration of Randwick Town Hall, better public hall facilities and inclusion of disability access.
