Stage 1 consultation
Randwick City Council is planning on creating a pocket park and undertaking streetscape upgrades. The pocket park will be created in the existing median at the intersection of Clovelly and Carrington Roads with the possibility of claiming the existing slip lane road to create a pedestrian-friendly public space for community use. We are also planning for improvements to the streetscape around the Clovelly Road intersection.
In 2019, we asked the community to tell us your vision for the Clovelly Road which guided the Council's development of the Clovelly Road Masterplan.
What we heard
You wanted a pedestrian-friendly experience while minimising impacts on traffic flows, bus routes, and on-street parking.
The proposed pocket park will provide more community open space and improved public domain along Clovelly Road, including new pavement, street tree plantings, and furniture that will enhance the area and make the precinct more pedestrian friendly
Have your say on the Clovelly Road upgrade
If you live nearby, regularly visit the Clovelly area, or are a local business owner then we want your input into the design of the pocket park. We want you to help us think outside the box. Perhaps you'd like to see an outdoor dining space, a green oasis, or simply a space to enjoy a morning coffee.
