Consultation has concluded.

Project update: The new Community Investment Program was adopted by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting, 25 August 2020. For more information on the program, including Community Connect and Community Creative, visit Randwick City Council's website.

The Community Investment Program is Council’s new-look grants funding framework for all community funding and donations providing almost $1M of grants each year to local community groups and organisations.

There are a number of streams within the program. We are currently seeking community feedback on the following two streams which are either new or have been updated.

Community connect. This is the new name for Council's Community and Cultural Grants Program. Community Connect invests in projects, events and activities that harness community ideas and encourage local participation. The funding rounds have been increased from two to three per year to provide greater responsiveness to community need.

Community creative. This is a new funding stream specifically designed to support the development and delivery of creative, artistic and cultural projects. There will be three funding rounds per year.

We want to know what you think about Community Creative and Community Connect and in particular your views on the application and funding guidelines for each program. Your feedback is important to help make sure we’re investing and working collaboratively with our community as best we can.

You can give us your feedback by viewing the Community Connect Guidelines and Community Creative Guidelines, then:

  • Completing an online submission;
  • Sending your comments headed "Community Investment Program" to the General Manager by email council@randwick.nsw.gov.au; or
  • Posting your comments headed "Community Investment Program" to the General Manager, Randwick City Council, 30 Frances Street, Randwick NSW 2031.

You can also view hard copies of the documents and complete a paper submission by visiting Council's Customer Service Centre at 30 Frances Street Randwick and our libraries in Randwick, Maroubra and Malabar.

Consultation period: 3 July 2020 to 30 July 2020.
