Stage 1 consultation

Stage 1 consultation: 9 December 2020 to 28 January 2021.

How did we consult?

Randwick City Council is planning to upgrade the playground at Coral Sea Park, Yorktown Parade Maroubra, to create a new inclusive play space where local children of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds can play.

The upgrade is being funded by a NSW Government grant under the Everyone Can Play(External link) program. Randwick Council will match the funding, dollar for dollar, and we aim to have the new play space ready by the end of 2021.

Under the Everyone Can Play Grant Program, the new play space will be designed so that it is accessible for people in wheelchairs or people who may have mobility, sensory, sight or hearing issues.

Molly's Park, the garden memorial located within the playground, will be protected and maintained.

We want the local community to help us design the new playground to ensure we provide a facility that meets the needs of the local community.
