Any chance of having a track around the whole park for small kids learning to ride their bikes and scootering. The one on the oval at Little Bay is great for that.

Hi,
Congratulations on the new playground area. It looks fantastic.
I have noted two trees are proposed to be removed, however the plan does not include replacement trees.
Would it be possible to include a minimum of two replacement native trees to be planted in the park?
Thanks
Dave P

I have grown up and lived in this area my whole life and am now part of the next generation here. My daughter has a disability and cannot walk or climb but can happily use swings. It would be great if there was a liberty swing or similar for children/people who use wheelchairs. Also no bark around the play equipment as this doesn’t allow easy access for those in specialised chairs.
It would also be great to have some signage for any disability specific equipment, reminding parents with typical children to kindly use the accessible equipment should their child be able, and not the disability equipment.
There needs to be more disability specific equipment for full inclusion.

I have a young son and we have used the playground there and it is great. The upgrade looks fantastic. A couple of considerations might be. Please ensure the materials are resistant to rust as so many facilities are affected, the use of stainless steel and thick paint coverings would help. The slippery dip could benefit from more shade in the form of a sail or trees so that it is not too hot in summer. I would love to see more trees planted for shade too in the randwick playgrounds. I love the sandstone blocks as informal seating. Please order lots of those, and consider putting some in the Heffron Pedal park too!

Please ensure some equipment (e.g. multiplay equipment, item 3) is included that is 'toddler friendly' i.e. suitable for ages 3 and below. Something fairly enclosed with less gaps for falls. There is a perfect example of this at Cromwell Park Playground in Malabar.
