Integrated Transport Study

In March and April 2020, we consulted with the community to get your insights, experiences and ideas for moving around Randwick City to help develop our Integrated Transport Study.

Community feedback was used to help develop the Integrated Transport Study. Read the Integrated Transport Study here.

Community and stakeholder engagement included online sessions, workshops and a survey, which received 825 responses during the six week consultation period. Some of the key insights from the survey include:

  • Over 60% of survey respondents use active transport at least three times a week, 40% on a daily basis.
  • More than 40% of respondents primary mode of transport is bus
  • Most agreed with the statement "The government should spend more money on public transport" and "Pedestrians should have the priority of movement in local centres"
  • Most agreed with the statement "Parking priority should be given to residents in busy streets"
  • People agreed the least with the statement "There should be more public car parking" and "More paid parking could help to better managing parking in town centres and at local attractions".
