Kensington Community Centre Draft Fees and Changes 2017.
The Kensington Park Community Centre is due to open and will be a fantastic community asset for the local area. The proposed hiring fees for the new centre are now on public exhibition and open for comment from the community.
The proposed hourly hire rates are based on a valuation of the new centre, Council’s current pricing policy, and a comparison of hire fees for community facilities in surrounding Council areas.
Subsidised rates are proposed for charities and Not for Profit groups.

Hall 1 is the larger of the two halls, and has an adjoining full kitchen for catering. It also has a separate furniture store, and male/female and accessible toilets. It faces north, looking out over the former bowling greens.
Hall 2 has a kitchenette only, with its own toilets and store room. It is oriented to face the adjacent playground in Kensington Park. Both halls have external canopies.
As well as hiring the two halls, Council is planning to run community activities at the new centre. Using the submission option below, we encourage you to share your ideas for the types of activities we should provide that would be enjoyed by the local community.
