Council adopted the Community Consultation Plan at its meeting on 10 December 2019. A number of changes were made to the plan as a result of community feedback. You can view the changes in the Council Report.

Randwick City Council has drafted a new Community Participation Plan that outlines how and when Council will engage with the community on planning matters, including development assessments, as well as Council projects and policies.

The Community Participation Plan (CPP) brings together previous public notification requirements contained within Council’s Randwick Comprehensive Development Control Plan 2013 (section A3 – public notification) with our Community Consultation Principles and Consultation Planning Guide.

Continuing Council's commitment to providing the community with a voice in Council decision-making, the CPP will guide Council's engagement activities and set minimum mandatory and non-mandatory public exhibition time frames.

The CPP is a Council-adopted policy prepared as a requirement under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act).
