Consultation has concluded

Randwick City Council is responsible for identifying and managing flooding to reduce the risk of flooding on people and properties.

In 2013, we undertook a Flood Study to determine the behaviour and extent of flooding in the Coogee Bay catchment. At that time, we wrote to all property owners and consulted with you to help develop the study.

The next stage in the NSW Government Floodplain Management process is to look at ways we can reduce the impacts of flooding. Accordingly, we have now drafted the Coogee Bay Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan to assess management approaches we can take to reduce the impact of flooding.

Managing flooding requires a partnership approach between affected property owners and Council. To assist, Council has determined a series of actions that is outlined in the plan.

To have your say on the draft plan:

  • view the draft plan and/or the summary map of flood management options investigated
  • locate your property on the flood affected area map
  • make a submission below
  • visit our drop-in session on Thursday 21 July, 6-8pm at that Coogee Legion Club, 200 Arden Street Coogee

The plan is on public exhibition from 8 July to 5 August 2016.
