This consultation has concluded.

The Lurline Bay, Matraville, Malabar & Yarra Bay Flood Study was finalised and adopted by Council on 26 October 2021. You can view the final flood study on the Randwick City Council website here.

In February 2020, Randwick City Council consulted with property owners and residents in Matraville, Chifley, Malabar, Little Bay, Phillip Bay, La Perouse, South Coogee and Maroubra to understand the extent of flooding in these areas and to assist in the preparation of a flood study. The study will provide Council with information to better understand, plan and manage the risk of flooding.

The draft Flood Study is now complete and on exhibition. We are asking for feedback from all property owners living in the catchment.

Once the study has been finalised, Council will proceed with the next step which assesses potential measures to manage the risks associated with flooding.
