Randwick City Council’s Draft 2026-27 Operational Plan and Budget is our one-year plan that details the projects and activities that will be undertaken in the financial year to achieve the commitments made in our 2025-2029 Delivery Program.

It includes a detailed budget for the activities, our 2026-27 Fees and Charges, and a Statement of Revenue Policy.

The budget has been set to ensure that we maintain financial sustainability, adequate liquidity and sound asset performance.

Project highlights include

  • New public amenities at Malabar Ocean Pool
  • Replace Wylie's Baths deck
  • Local area traffic management in Kensington and West Kingsford
  • Build new reformer pilates studio at DRLC
  • Upgrade playgrounds at Les Bridges Park (Kensington), South Maroubra Village Green, Hereward Reserve (Maroubra), Dr Walters Park (Chifley), Burnie Park (Clovelly), Paine Reserve (Randwick), Writtle Park (Randwick), Frank Doyle Park (Randwick), and Central Park (Maroubra)
  • Upgrade Malabar Library and Memorial Hall
  • Refurbish Coogee SLSC (State Government grant)

How the budget will affect you

  • Rates up by standard IPART-set rate peg of 5%* (no special rate variations)
  • Domestic waste management charge up by $58.50 to $789.80 per annum to cover rising operational costs, including higher fuel bills, increasing landfill levies and future operational certainty.
