Burrows Park sports field
Consultation has concluded.
Randwick City Council is proposing to upgrade Burrows Park sports field in Clovelly and we are seeking community feedback to help develop the scope of the project.
The sports field is an important facility for local junior rugby league and provides recreational space for local residents and visitors alike.
We have held initial discussions with the junior clubs who use the field and have identified a strong need to upgrade the existing amenities building to bring it up to current building standards to better meet the needs of the sports field users.
The clubs have also told us that the field size is substandard and doesn’t meet the standard rugby league field size. This means that players in the 13-18 age competition cannot play games on the field and have to play home matches at other grounds.
Randwick Council is at a very early stage of the project and we are seeking to define the project scope for further investigation, feasibility and costing.
To help us define the project scope, we want to know what the community thinks about undertaking further investigations into upgrading the building and extending the field.
Your feedback is important to help us understand community attitudes.
