    We are seeking 10 volunteers to help test an interactive and fun new Beach Pollution website, which we will be launching soon as part of our “beach pollution ends here” campaign. One-on-one testing sessions will take place throughout the day on Wednesday 5 December 2018 at the Lionel Bowen Library.
    Registrations close: 5pm, Wednesday 21 November 2018.

  • Kensington Centennial Park Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan

    Council has just completed the draft Kensington Centennial Park Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan to assess a variety of management approaches we can take to reduce the impact of flooding on residents in the catchment area. This study has been revised to include the light rail development and the new rainfall data standard. This follows on from our 2013 Flood Study which determined the behaviour and extent of flooding in the Kensington Centennial Park catchment.
    Consultation period: 20 August to 17 September 2018.

The proposal is to extend the heritage conservation area boundary to incorporate 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46 Dudley Street and 122 Mount Street Coogee, and to list 38, 42, and 44 Dudley Street and 122 Mount Street, Coogee as local heritage items. The proposed restrictions follow new state regulations that came into effect on 1 July 2016; known as the Impounding Amendment (Unattended Boat Trailers) Act. The changes would require boat trailers be moved every 28 days. Whether you own a boat trailer or not, we want to know what you think about the proposal.
