  • Kensington Centennial Park Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan

    Council has just completed the draft Kensington Centennial Park Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan to assess a variety of management approaches we can take to reduce the impact of flooding on residents in the catchment area. This study has been revised to include the light rail development and the new rainfall data standard. This follows on from our 2013 Flood Study which determined the behaviour and extent of flooding in the Kensington Centennial Park catchment.
    Consultation period: 20 August to 17 September 2018.

    Randwick Council is seeking your feedback on a Planning Proposal to amend the Randwick Local Environmental Plan 2012 heritage provisions in relation to the Dudley Street Heritage Conservation Area. The proposal is to extend the heritage conservation area boundary to incorporate 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46 Dudley Street and 122 Mount Street Coogee, and to list 38, 42, and 44 Dudley Street and 122 Mount Street, Coogee as local heritage items.     Council is proposing to introduce new boat trailer parking restrictions across Randwick City. The proposed restrictions follow new state regulations that came into effect on 1 July 2016; known as the Impounding Amendment (Unattended Boat Trailers) Act. The changes would require boat trailers be moved every 28 days. Whether you own a boat trailer or not, we want to know what you think about the proposal.
    Consultation period: 26 June to 5pm, 24 July 2018.

    Council is proposing streetscape improvements from Kingsford to Centennial Park, including a new cycleway. The improvements will provide safer walking and cycling connections to key destinations in our City, including to Centennial Park, UNSW, local shops and the new light rail stops along Anzac Parade. Concept plans are now on exhibition for community feedback.
    Consultation period: 25 May 2018 to 9am 2 July 2018
