Randwick City Council is responsible for identifying and managing flooding to reduce the risk of flooding on people and properties.
In 2013, we undertook a Flood Study to determine the behaviour and extent of flooding in the Maroubra Bay catchment. At that time, we wrote to all property owners and consulted with you to help develop the study.
The next stage in the NSW Government Floodplain Management process is to look at ways we can reduce the impacts of flooding. Accordingly, we have now drafted the Maroubra Bay Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan to assess management approaches we can take to reduce the impact of flooding.
Managing flooding requires a partnership approach between affected property owners and Council. To assist, Council has determined a series of actions that is outlined in the plan.

The plan is on public exhibition from 30 September to 28 October 2016.
