Stage 1 consultation

27 February 2023

CONSULTATION PERIOD: 5 MAY TO 1 JUNE 2021

Randwick City Council is developing a Public Domain Masterplan for Maroubra Junction, Bunnerong Road and Flower Street retail areas.

The plan will help guide Council upgrades over the next 10 years to help the retail areas grow and prosper, and to create better places for people to shop, meet and socialise.

The plan will include public domain elements such as:

  • New areas of public open space, public art, and new tree planting
  • New or improved pedestrian and cycle connections
  • Improved street furniture and footpaths
  • Changes to parking for improved public domain treatments

The project will also consider infrastructure elements such as:

  • Public transport and traffic assessments
  • Pedestrian and cycle movements
  • Parking and the safety and comfort of pedestrians

Please note this project does not relate to setting planning controls for development in the town centre.

We are seeking your input now to help deliver a plan to guide the future vision for Maroubra Junction.
