Randwick City Council is preparing a Public Domain Masterplan for Matraville. This will include the key local centre zone focused on the Bunnerong Road corridor from Beauchamp Road to Harold Street, centering around the intersection with Perry Street and Franklin Street.

The plan will guide future Council upgrades to help the centre prosper, and to create better places for people to shop, meet and socialise.

The plan will include public domain elements such as new or improved pedestrian and cycle connections, new public spaces, new tree plantings, improved street furniture and footpaths.

If you live nearby, shop at Matraville or work at Matraville, we want you to get involved! Your input is critical to help us understand what's working at Matraville and what can be improved.

Get involved by:

Consultation period: 1 – 29 September 2021.

We acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the First Australians of this land, and the Bidjigal and Gadigal people who traditionally occupied the land we now call Randwick City.
